“Black Doves” is an upcoming British spy thriller series created by Joe Barton, set to premiere on Netflix on December 5, 2024. The series stars Keira Knightley as Helen Webb, a dedicated wife, mother, and professional spy who has been covertly passing her politician husband’s secrets to a shadowy organization known as the Black Doves. The ensemble cast also includes Ben Whishaw as Sam Young, a suave assassin, and Sarah Lancashire as Reed, Helen’s spymaster.
Set against the backdrop of London during the Christmas season, the narrative unfolds as Helen’s secret lover, Jason (played by Andrew Koji), is assassinated. In response, Reed
enlists Sam to protect Helen. Together, they embark on a mission to uncover the truth behind Jason’s death, leading them into a vast conspiracy that links London’s criminal underworld to a looming geopolitical crisis.
The series has already been renewed for a second season ahead of its premiere.
